Bond's first book, published originally in the magazine Blue Book, in May 1940, then in this Prime Press edition in a run of 2,112 copies, of which 112 were signed, numbered and slipcased. After archeologists discover a strange bloodstone amulet in an ancient Arabian tomb, native members of the expedition attack non-natives who have refused to abandon the site.
